I find concepts and discoveries in quantum physics to be endlessly inspiring and evocative. As a visual thinker, my work has become the record of my grapplings with the concepts I've studied throughout the past 25 years. The artworks are visual metaphors of the deep questions and theories I'm exploring ... with the resulting work being an abstraction, not an illustration, of these concepts embodied in paint using a visual vocuabulary that I have developed over the years. I come from a sense of openness and wonder, not fully understanding, but knowing that there is room in every discipline to probe what our universe is actually up to. Every one of us can benefit from probing these questions: they inspire awe, humility, and wonder.
